(i) Mystical Number Seven Introduction
Mystical Number Seven : The bible was written by people from the east who were very familiar with numerology and the zodiac so when we try to interpret the Bible we must bear in mind the culture of the people writing it. The Bible is eastern mysticism not western history. Before we look at the mystical significance of 7 in the Bible we will quickly make an interpretation of the numbers 1-12.
(ii) A Summary of The Mystical Number Seven
Reviewing the meaning of numbers:
1= God ,
2= You & God ,
3 = New Life(Resurrection),
4= Fourfold nature of man,
5= sacrifice of the 5 senses,
6= chakras, doctrines rules,
7 = divine intervention,
8= rupture, breaking away,
9 = intellect, intelligence, wisdom, consciousness,
10 = completeness,
11 = you and God,
12= perfection(based on the 12 constellations of the zodiac).
An important relationship is the one between 7 and 12.
4 + 3 = 7
4x 3 = 12
We have spirit (divine intervention in the form of light and sound, carrying the potential for perfection 12 or Enlightenment.
(iii) Mystical Number Seven in Scripture
Revelation 5: 1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
right hand = spiritual side, the left being material. So the Garden of Eden is in the East, fishermen cast their nets to the right side , and there are many more examples of this in the bible.
throne = spiritual realm, higher place ; book written on the inside = inside of us, we have to go within to discover what it holds; on the backside = inside the back or spine where the kundalini rises and prana circulates; 7 seals = the 7 chakras.
Seven is the number of divine intervention as people of the time could only see 7 planets and 7 it was also related to the 7 chakras. It relates to the energy from the 6 chakras impacting at the pineal gland at the 7th chakra resulting in a raising of consciousness So when we see this number in the bible a specific message is being given.
Numbers 23: 1 And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven oxen and seven rams.
2 And Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on every altar a bullock and a ram.
7+7+7 = 21 (2+1=3) 3 is the number of resurrection & new life .Jesus spent 3 days in the tomb, Jonah 3 days in the whale.
“In seven days all creatures who have offended me shall be destroyed by a deluge, but thou shalt be secured in a vessel miraculously formed; take, therefore . . . and with seven holy men, your respective wives, and pairs of all animals, enter the ark without fear; then shalt thou know God face to face, and all thy questions shall be answered.” — (Bhagavad Gita).
This was written 200 – 400BCE well before the bible and is a similar story to Noah’s Ark.
Genesis 7: 4 For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.
Hinduism, Judaism, earlier and later Gnosticism, Christianity, and even Christian Masonry, have all been built upon identical cosmological myths, symbols, and allegories, whose full comprehension is possible only to those who have meditated deeply or had some other way of accessing hidden spiritual truths.
In Genesis it says God created the world in 6 days and rested on the seventh:
Genesis 2: 2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
So on the 7th day there was rest. The 6 days represent the 6 chakras that need to be overcome, all of which make up the human psyche. As the energy is transformed into the third eye we can experience the stillness of God in meditation as the 7th chakra is activated. The name for seven in the ancient language of the Jews is called Sabbath.
Sabbath Day (Shabbat)
The Jewish Sabbath day of rest, called Shabbat in Hebrew, begins on Friday evening and ends on Saturday evening. In mainstream Christianity this has moved to Sunday and they made Sunday the first day of the week so we are resting on the first day not the seventh. This is not what was intended in the original message with rest or peace within being associated with the 7th chakra.
The 7(being associated with divine intervention) comes from 3(the holy trinity) + the 4 fold nature of man (Physical, emotional, intellectual & spiritual) . So 7 is God and man together, the intervention of God (the trinity) into the affairs of man (his 4 fold nature). So this is completely lost once mainstream Christianity changed it all.
In Hindu there are
Sapta Rishis =7 sages ; Sapta Loka = 7 worlds, Sapta Puri = 7 holy cities and many more.
(iv) Seven and Divine Intervention of God into the Lower Realms of Man.
Matthew 18 : 21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
When the zero is added onto the 7 it stands for infinity. So Jesus was saying we must not put a limit onto our forgiveness. By forgiveness is meant the intervention of spirit into mans 4 fold nature. So spirit will always be there no matter what, but it must be sought after.
Mark 8:19 When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve.
This is not related to the number 7 directly but was included for completeness of these verses
With the 12 l we have perfection or the completed zodiac & the completion of the Labours of Hercules and the crowning of the adept upon the spiritual path. On a cosmological level we have Jesus,” as the Sun personified, breaking up the multiplied loaves into the 12 “baskets” or constellations, symbolizing the creation of the countless stars and the placement of them in the heavens with the 12 constellations.
5 loaves & 2 fishes are the Virgo(wheat) & Pisces(fish) intervention.
Mark 8 :20 And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven.
21 And he said unto them, How is it that ye do not understand?
Virgo is also called the House of Bread and the zodiacal symbol shows a woman holding a chaff of wheat, representing the August/September time of harvest.
John 2: 6 And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.
6 = doctrines, laws, religion Jesus turns 6 water vessels (water is in the lowest aspect the emotions) into wine= holy spirit, that which flows through your being.
There are so many biblical references to this number and this has just introduced a few examples. Many more can be seen in the book of revelations and will be covered in due course.
(v) Further Biblical References to the Mystical Number Seven
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego are men recorded in the book of Daniel Chapters 1–3, known for their exclusive devotion to God. In particular, they are known for being saved by divine intervention from the Babylonian execution of being burned alive in a fiery furnace
Esoterically they represent the emotions, intellect & physical. The number 7 means divine intervention through the awakening of chakras through meditation.

So our three-fold nature, physical, emotional and mental binds us. They are binding us, and we are being burned up by them and everything that is going wrong in our lives.
The intervention of the 7 or kundalini occurs:
Spirit puts out the passions of the 3 which are trying to consume you.
