Genesis Introduction
Genesis Introduction : The Bible is a book which is not about religion but the evolution of consciousness of man expressed symbolically.
Starting off in Genesis we have to look at the Garden of Eden and ask is this literal?
So if we decide that it is not literal then what do all of these things mean & what is it trying to convey? As we go along through this study we find that it is all describing the evolution in us, not an external physical creation.
I am not going line by line, as that is not what’s important and would take far too long so instead I will highlight the most important topics also the principles of Genesis will be cross referenced to other parts of the Bible.
Adam was the first person derived from the seed of God. Adam is similar in word construct to Atom. So the source of all life was the atom.
Genesis Introduction: Some Early Biblical Texts
Genesis 2:8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
So people are going to dwell in a garden. The word Eden means ‘The Light’ so the garden is of light, love and peace.
It also states that the garden is planted eastward. Whenever we look north east is always on the right side. Symbolically this refers to the place within us that is on the right side that is filled with peace, love and light and all that is new. This is a place found in meditation through activation of the third eye and the right hemisphere of the brain. It is also illustrated in the verses below:
Ezekiel 43:2 And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory
4 And the glory of the LORD came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east.
So we seek to return to that which is the garden.
The 7 days of creation is looking at our own creation through the 7 chakras. Earth =lower mind, water =higher consciousness, air= the divine where spirit flies, and the spiritual fire.
Genesis 2: 2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
This was when Gods work was ended in the 7th chakra, the place of peace. This is also reflected in the days of the week where we work and then rest on the Sunday. Where the sun or divine light is thrown upon on the east side of you. So Jerusalem is within us, and no burden can be brought into the 7th chakra when meditating on God.
All the guilt, hurt and fear is on the left side which is where we tend to reside.
**************** Left side = material, right side = spiritual ****************
Revelation 5 also talks about the 7 chakras but in a slightly different way:
1. And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
The right hand means the right side or spiritual side, the throne is the higher place, the spiritual region we rarely sit , the book written within and on the backside sealed with 7 seals describes the 7 chakras along the inside of the spine. This statement makes clear that all this is happening within us, not outside.
Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Elohim was the first name given for God in the ancient bibles.
Elohim is a plural word (It is purely Hebrew) containing both male and female principles. But this was taken out of the bible as religion could not cope with it. The energy that rises up the spine is a female energy, which the religious people could not deal with it so it was missing from later texts.
So the original texts named God as both having male and female principles. The church removed this reference because they did not want women to be known as being part of the divine creator.
Genesis 2:21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
So Genesis is saying that all life originated from the splitting of the atom. If one removes an electron from an atom, it multiplies the energy of the atom. So by splitting the atom we multiply the energy of the atom. So Adam and Eve represent the splitting of the atom and physical evolution.
Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Subtle means clever. The serpent represents our physical aspect, the sigmoid shape of the human spine.
Eve is represents the mind which comes out of the physical aspect Adam. Eve (mind) gets tempted by the physical part, the flesh or serpent.
So we are talked to by the serpent, we get tempted all the time by our thoughts.
The serpent tempts us to eat the forbidden fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Good and evil get mixed up and integrated with one another and then we have confusion. We loose our sense of self and life’s purpose.
Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
This is when we are in meditation we have to turn our attention inward and shut down the left brain or our thoughts. ‘Die’ does not mean a physical death but giving ourselves to the vastness of spirit which can be meditated upon.
Genesis 3:11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
God is saying I didn’t say that there was anything wrong with you. Who said you were guilty and not doing what is right? This was the lower self, religions, institutions, churches, society which was putting you down.
The original sin = living in our lower nature. It has nothing to do with drink and gambling etc. The church is obsessed with the notion of sin and yet it was meant to mean only that we have forgotten our spiritual side and had nothing to do with morality.
Sin is the name of the moon God Ur of the Chaldees. That is why Abraham lived here. Sin was the God of Ur. He was told to move out of the city i.e. not dwell in the emotions anymore. As when you do this you are dwelling in sin. We will elaborate on that in a later blog.
Genesis 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
Signs = signs of the zodiac.
