Can light play a part in enquiry into the universe or are only colours involved?
2 ways of looking at the question:
(i) What is the difference between colour & light- colour is a quality of light, “enquiry into the universe”- a process of looking at ones reflection & being, “nature of the universe”- looking at the self & therefore a reflection of our own nature. Therefore enquiry into the universe implies looking at the nature of the self.
Can light be said to have no reflection other than itself & thus plays no part whereas colours have complements & interactions & thus myriads of reflections?
Thus enquiry can only be made through those elements that exist through separation. Light which has no reflection cannot enquire into itself?
(ii) The coloured universe consists of those levels below buddhi. Since they are not self created they are intrinsically unconscious & therefore how can something which cannot identify its cause undergo any real enquiry into infinity since by definition, the coloured universe is intrinsically limited?
Therefore is there any such thing as ‘enquiry’ in the first place & is it possible to place a separation as to what ‘parts’ of our nature take part in this process & which don’t?
