Biblical Astrology of Virgo

In this article we will look at the Biblical Astrology of Virgo to see this Zodiac Sign in its spiritual context. Virgo holds the wheat in her hand and Christ was said to be the bread of life feeding us wisdom and understanding. Spiritually the Virgin represents the purity of the spiritual planes, or virgin consciousness and then we give birth to the Christ within, and our Christ Consciousness grows through our meditation.

John 6:

33. For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

34.Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.

35. And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Virgo is the beginning of all things and after the Sun reaches its zenith in Leo, it begins life over again until the winter solstice. In the article below we will examine how Biblical Astrology of Virgo and how verses from the Bible are related.

 

Virgo Biblical Astrology: Scripture Interpretation

 

Hebrews 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

Dead Works = Books  and doctrines. 

We need to put our books and doctrines down and go into stillness through meditation, leaving the mind behind and transcending into VIRGIN CONSCIOUSNESS OR NIRVANA according to Buddha. 

Jesus had to come from a ‘virgin womb’, the perfection of spirit. Imperfection is found in books, perfection is found in meditation.

Many Gods have been born a virgin including Hare Krishna. The zodiacal clock contains 12 signs which is the number of perfection.

 

Luke 3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,

30 years of age = 30 degrees of LEO, the sign prior to Virgo.

 

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Here God is speaking to the serpent.

Enmity = deep-seated dislike.

So there will be a separation between the seed of woman (spirit) and that of the serpent (carnal mind).

Those that dwell in the lower fear those in higher mind.

In virgin birth various examples throughout history:

• Mary giving birth to Jesus,
• Isis giving birth to Horus,
• Devaki giving birth to Hare Krishna

In the constellation of Virgo there can be seen:

A right hand with a branch

A left hand a shaft of wheat (the bread of Life) – so she carries the bread of life. The virgin womb carries the bread of life which is the Christ

In Hebrew, Virgo is called Bethulah = Virgin. The same word in Arabic is called the branch. This is mentioned in the Bible:

 

Zechariah 6:12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD:

Zechariah 3:8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.

 

In both the  above versus the BRANCH of Virgo is noted. You will note that the word BRANCH is capitalised to indicate in the constellations , that star which means the branch is the brightest star.

Virgo is represented in the image below:

 

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Genesis 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

From Isaiah we can expect a sign from God, and in Genesis it tells us that signs are in the stars.

The brightest star in Virgo is ALZIMACH which means ‘the branch’ or the modern latin name SPICA. She holds this in her left hand (ref: The Witness of the Stars, E.W. Bullinger)

Jeremiah 23:5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

We can also look at the stars:

Zavijava = the star on the left shoulder of the Virgin above. This word means gloriously beautiful.

Vindemiatrix (Classical name Alburedin) = The star in the arm holding the branch is called  which means ‘he shall have dominion’

 

Psalms 72:8 He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.

Here ‘seas’ is referring to the ‘deep things’ within you, the spiritual waters that flow. The Christ consciousness comes to us as we meditate upon the Light and Sound within, so that we may eventually realise our true essence which is in everything. In realising our true nature in spirit we have dominion over all things of the earth, but not in a materialistic sense.

 

John 15:5  I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

The brightest star in the virgin is ourselves. It is the explosion of ‘Christ consciousness’ in us that is most important so we cut down the branch and attach it to the vine (the Christ or light within).

Meditation of the divine light within is attaching us to the vine that Christ talks about.

Religious people have great trouble with this as they are always looking outside of themselves and yet Jesus proclaimed that the Kingdom of God is within.

The BRANCH is the CHRIST within that is born out of the VIRGIN CONSCIOUSNESS that happens when we leave thought behind and meditate on the light of spirit.

There are ancient origins of this Virgo sign in the Temple of Dendera in ancient Egypt 4000 BC. Virgo is presented as ISIS who gave birth to HORUS. The Dendera Zodiac is shown below:

 

Jeremiah 10:10 Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.

Pastors = minister of the Christian Church who have made the true teachings of Christ a wilderness by their exoteric doctrines.

 

Virgo Biblical Astrology: The Three Decans

The 3 decans of Virgo are :

(i) Coma = woman and child

(ii) Certentauris = the despised, the horse part of which shows the southern cross of which the sun enters on December 21^th every year, goes into the bowels of the earth for 3 days and 3 nights before being reborn on Dec 25^th   

(iii) Boötes = the coming one. The brightest star is Arcturus and is referred to in Job 38.

 

1.Coma

1st Decan (Mother & Child) = The Desired of All Nations

 

Haggi 2:7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.

Desire of all nations will come = Coma will come = mother and child will come = Jesus and Mary.

Abū Maʿshar – an ancient Muslim astrologer that said Comas Persian name was ‘Pure Virgin’. Zoroaster also came from Persia, now known as Iran, and he was also born of a virgin and was of the MAGIAN tribe, a group of astrologers who found Jesus through guidance from the stars.

Abū Maʿshar also said the Persian name for boy is Ihesu which in Greek is called Christo = CHRIST.

2. Centaurus 

2nd Decan (The Centaur)

 

Here we look at what it is that is coming forth from the Virgin. It is he who has two natures, a lower nature and a higher nature. In Arabic the name of this constellation is AL Beze & it means ‘the despised’.

 

Isaiah 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

The Despised = those that stand up for the mystical teachings of Christ are despised by the orthodoxy.

So Centaurus represents YOU born out of the virgin meditating on Christ consciousness and being despised for standing against religion and orthodoxy of society.

Centaurus being of dual nature has its roots in the animal nature of the physical but its head in the spirit of universal consciousness.

 

Psalms 147:4 He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.

The Bible tells us that God named the stars.

Toliman = the bright star in the leg of Centaurus = ”the here to for the hereafter” = the beginning and the end which is talking about YOU and is confirmed in the next verse:

 

Revelation 1 : 8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

We have lived eternally. On Enlightenment we realise we were never born and have never died.

 

Jeremiah 1: 5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Centaurus has a meeting with the Southern Cross (Crux) as shown in the image above:

 

 

3. Bootes 

3rd Decan (The Ploughman or Herdsman)

 

It has the image of a man with a spear in one hand and a sickle in the other. Boötes is a constellation bordered by Virgo to the south and it means ‘ploughman’ or ‘herdsman’. In Arabic Arcturus means ‘he cometh’. It contains a bright orange star called Arcturus.

Psalms 96:13 Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.

He cometh = Arcturus.

 

Job 9:9 Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south.

The book of Job is one of the oldest books in the Bible.

Pleiades = star constellation in Taurus. Why is Arcturus in a spiritual book such as the Bible ?

In the spearhead of Bootes is a star called Al Katurops which means the branch:

 

 

There is a bright star in every constellation and the meaning of it is ‘the branch’.

 

Zechariah 3:8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.

Jesus said ‘I am the vine, you are the branch’. We are the branch and Christ is the Vine. We attach ourselves to the vine to bear fruit during meditation as the Godhead flows through us.

Muphride = star in the left thigh of Bootes and means he who separates. He separates the wheat from the tares.

 

Matthew 25:32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

In meditation we separate ourselves from our lower nature (the nation in the lower half) and raise ourselves to the higher nation in the third eye. We also separate ourselves in the stillness of meditation from the rest of the world.

Nekka = star in the head of Bootes & means ‘the pierced’

This is described in the Bible:

 

Zechariah 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

Also Hare Krishna was pierced by an arrow through his heel and attached to the tree. On the cross Jesus had the 5 piercings giving the 5 wounds symbolising the 5 senses.

For us our minds must be PIERCED BY THE LIGHT OF GOD through meditation, and we must be crucified (in the skull) of Golgotha so that we may fulfill our spiritual destiny. We are therefore crucified on the tree of life by sacrificing the 5 senses.

In Bootes he holds a SICKLE in his left hand as shown in the image above. In the Bible we have the passage:

 

Revelation 14:15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.

We can summarise the esoteric importance Virgo and its 3 decans as below:

Virgin Woman = virgin consciousness in meditation free from bias of all thoughts residing in stillness. In virgin consciousness is born the seed Emmanuel which is our connection with the divine.

Despised = This will be despised by religion (opening your mind to satan etc ) and much of society.

Sickle = he who comes to harvest the seed planted by God in meditation.
